PROGRAMS
Baltimore Community Rowing Juniors is a competitive club rowing program with year-round teams for high school and middle school athletes across Maryland. Middle school athletes learn the basics of the rowing stroke and improve their general fitness. High school athletes learn the skills and develop the fitness to compete regionally and nationally.
Athletes attend public and private schools throughout Maryland, but compete as one team. Through shared comitment to excellence and compeition, our athletes build lifelong relationships with their team. Many of our athletes continue rowing in college, earning top spots in DI, DII, DIII, and club rowing programs across the country.
BCR connects with student athletes from Baltimore City Public Schools through Reach High Baltimore. Athletes from Baltimore City Public Schools learn about rowing through in-classroom instruction and boathouse learn-to-row clinics. In partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools and through generous financial support, all City Schools' middle school students row for free.
