Baltimore Community Rowing promotes the sport of rowing for fitness, competition, and recreation for residents of the Baltimore Metro area.
Baltimore rowing & Water Resource Center
The Baltimore Rowing & Water Resource Center is home to Baltimore Community Rowing alongside rowing programs from Loyola University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, Roland Park Country School, and Baltimore City Outdoor Recreation programs.
The boathouse was constructed in 1987 as a purpose-built community boathouse for rowing programs. It is owned an operated by Baltimore City Recreation & Parks and features a well-loved community gathering space.
Baltimore Community Rowing holds a stewardship role at the facility, advocating for a safe and serviceable building that supports the water access for residents from South Baltimore and beyond.
Baltimore Community Rowing is working with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks on an expanded vision for water access in Middle Branch Park. In the spirit of the Reimagine Middle Branch plan and with grant support from the state of Maryland, Baltimore Community Rowing is excited about stepping out in partnership with BCRP to plan the next iteration of our beloved community boathouse.
