HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER TRAINING
What: BCR Juniors will offer an 8-week virtual training program for Summer 2020. Participants must have access to an ergometer at home and a basic understanding of the rowing stroke. There will be a limited number of ergs available to rent from BCR for the summer season. Weekly workout plans will be provided, two coached erg sessions will be held per week via Zoom meeting, and a third session will be offered every other week covering topics in technique/video review, nutrition, and racing. Participants will compete in bi-monthly erg time and distance challenges.
Should we have the opportunity to return to the water this summer, we will be hosting coached small-group sessions in 1X singles. There will be an additional registration fee for participants in on-water workouts and registration will be limited. Rowers registered for virtual training will receive priority registration for on water workouts.
Who: Rising students in 9th through 12th grade
When: Monday, June 22, 2020 to Friday, August 14, 2020
Virtual practices on Zoom: Tuesday/Thursday, from 3:30-5:00 PM (beginning week of June 29th)
Virtual video review/team topics: Wednesday, July 8/July 22/Aug 5, from 3:30-4:30
