The goals of the BRCJ Mentor program are to:

• Provide an opportunity for Junior athletes to interact with professional adults who are role models in rowing and in life.
• Encourage Junior athletes to explore their interests within and outside of rowing.
• Allow BRC Adults to become involved in the BRCJ and provide additional support to this part of the Club.
• Support the BRCJ Mission of becoming a nationally competitive team.

Mentors will commit to attending Mentor meetings, a kick-off event, at least one regatta, and an end-of-season party. In addition, the Mentor will contact the Junior athlete at least once per week by phone, email, or at the Boathouse. The Program may organize other special events, such as a Sunday Group Row, Group Erg Workouts, or group outings.
