Baltimore Rowing: Membership Dues

Annual Membership
Annual Membership (also known as Coached Membership) grants you voting privileges, use of Baltimore RC equipment and facilities, and the study and training of our esteemed coaching staff. Six hours of volunteer hours required from all members; another twelve hours are applicable towards membership credit ($10 credit per volunteer hour).
Annual Membership also includes access to winter training programs.
The $650 fee includes the basic $250 annual membership fee, plus $400 for being a member of a coached program. Rack owners who wish to join the club without participating in a coached program should contact membership chair Megan Sikora.

Basic Annual Membership
Basic Membership grants you voting privileges, as well as use of Baltimore RC equipment and facilities. Six hours of volunteer hours required from all members; another six hours are applicable towards membership credit ($10 credit per volunteer hour).
This fee includes only basic $250 annual membership fee; coaching will not be available to basic annual members. If you have any questions, please contact membership chair Megan Sikora.

Seasonal Membership
  • Spring: Saturday, March 1 through Friday, June 13, 2008 · closed

  • Fall: Monday, September 1 through Saturday, November 15, 2008 · closed
For those members who registered for all three seasonal programs, your membership automatically converts to an Annual Membership. You will not need to pay an additional fee for the Winter Training program.

Both programs end on Sunday, November 9, 2008.

Junior rowers must contribute two hours of volunteer work, after which they are eligible for an additional five hours of credited ($10/hour) volunteer work, per season.

Summer Novice: Tuesday, June 10 through Saturday, July 26, 2008 · This class has ended.

Summer Novice (Alternate): Monday, June 9 through Friday, July 25, 2008 · This class has ended.

Fall Novice: Tuesday, July 29 through Saturday, September 13, 2008 · This class is full and underway.

Because of the limited availability of novice class seats, cancellations will only be accepted one week prior to the start of classes; no refunds will be given after that time. Refunds will be given in the form of checks, minus a service fee of $25. As with all of our programs, there is a $25 service charge for any checks returned upaid.
After graduating from the novice program, new rowers are invited to continue their Baltimore RC membership through the rest of the season (and beyond). We call this category Continuing Novice, and remaining club dues are prorated depending upon your graduating novice class:
  • Spring Novice Graduates
    Your continuing membership will run from Sunday, June 1 through Saturday, February 28, 2009.

Racks

Rack owners are required to be members of Baltimore RC -- either basic or coached -- in good standing.
Rack space is currently at capacity. To be added to the waiting list, please contact the boathouse manager. If you are already a Baltimore RC rack owner and need to pay your rack fees, please contact the membership chair.
