Day Rowing is a program for those with flexible schedules, who would like to row at a reasonable hour of the morning! If you have never rowed, you should look into the Novice Class. If you have some experience rowing, check out the regular Day Rowing session. For either class, you will need a current US Rowing waiver.
Novice Day Rowing
For those with flexible daytime schedules and who have no prior or no recent experience rowing. The program practices from 9:30 until 11:30 in the morning on Wednesdays and Fridays. Limited to 18 rowers per session.
PREREQUISITES: No prior rowing experience required but as a safety consideration, rowers should be able to lift, hold, and carry a 20lb weight and be able to perform knee bends which will be required to safely carry and place the boat in the water.
The Day rowing program practices from 9:30 until 11:30 in the morning on Wednesdays and Fridays. Goals of the group include increasing rowing fitness, improving technique, and racing. The program caters to those that enjoy casual relaxing rows and those that enjoy focusing on training to compete.
