Baltimore Invitational Regatta

The Baltimore Invitational Regatta is a Juniors/Scholastic event that draws young athletes and thousands of spectators from around the region.

This year’s regatta will take place on April 12, 2014!

Event Information

Date: April 12, 2014

Entries due: April 7, 2014 (see below for Registration details)

2013 attendance: 25 teams from Virginia to New York.

Points trophy winners: Girls – Newport Rowing Club; Boys – DeMatha High School

Please let Judd Anderson know that your team is coming by March 27 so we can include your school/club’s name on the back of the t-shirt!

Reasonable costs, double racing, beautiful venue for rowing and viewing, convenient to Baltimore City (Charm City) and across the Basin from Nick’s Fish House (crabs, crab cakes and waterside dining), plenty of tent space for teams – hope to see you there!

 

Registration

Open to all high school/junior club teams (we started as an invitational but are now open to all teams) who want a fun, fair, competitive regatta with lots of opportunities to race.

Entry deadline: Monday, April 7, 2013, midnight; first heat sheet by 4/9

Race Details

Coaches/coxswains meeting: 7:15 am

First Race: 8:30 am

Fours and sculls between 8:30-11:30 am; 8+s between 11:30am – 2:00 pm

Bring your own bow numbers

Points trophy to the winning boys and winning girls team.

Grilling is permitted in the park. Pick up after yourselves (dumpster on premises)!

Parking – $5 per car

All USRowing rules apply: Please make sure your athletes sign the online USRowing waiver and your team is a paid organizational member of USRowing.
